Saturday 23 May 20, Chislet – Cumulonimbus with Mammata
Warm, partly cloudy with very good sunny spells. Windy. Some heavy showers

Herne Bay. Morning. Warm, partly cloudy with good amounts of sunshine.

Sunday 19 May 20 – Cirrus
Herne Bay, near sunset, calm and mild. Mulitple layers of clouds lit up in different ways. Cirrostratus and a bright contrail above. Shaddowed stratocumulus below.
Monday 18 May 20 – Cirrocumulus
Herne Bay, about 8 in the morning, mild weather with light winds. Significant amounts of high cloud, cirrostratus and also more granular cirrocumulus. Featured image is a an overhead zoomed in study.
Saturday 16 May 20 – Stratocumulus
Herne Bay. Warmish with light and variable winds. The crystal clear visibility remains. (Have we just got cleaner air because of lock down?) A thin and broken stratocumulus layer alows sunlight to break through.
The day started with a thicker low cloud.
Friday 15 May 20 – Stratocumulus and sunset
Herne Bay, cool and calm. Some stratocumulus towards the horizon. Crystal clear visibility. Stunning sunset across the Thames Estaury over Sheppey and Southend.
Thursday 14 May 20 – Early – Cumulus
Today is a day when you can watch the clouds develop. The aristream is unstable with respect to sea surface temperatures. There is a hard edge to the lifting condensation level and spirals of cumulus development are evident. Within the space of 5 minutes you can witness cloud currents grow, mature and fade.
Tuesday 12 May 20 – Stratocumulus
Herne Bay, calm, warm and partly cloudy. Stratocumulus at the begining of the day and at the end.
Wednesday 13 May 20 – Towering Cumulus
Herne Bay and Reculver. Fair weather with good sunny periods but a strong cold wind. Some towering cumulus out at sea but lots of smaller cumulus and stratocumulus as well.
